Robert maned the bar during the later afternoon and evening as the locals and travellers slowly filed into the Mottled Wyvern for food, drink and lodge. She served them as she could, eventually getting some help from the inn’s landlord. Robert did try to keep track of groups of people, mainly noting the new faces like the three young men who’d taken out of the way seats, as well as an armoured warrior with a young girl who eventually joined them.
But ended up being too busy to take note of them properly apart from when occasionally one of the first group would come up to buy more drinks. Eventually some entertainment in the form of some of the local bards started playing. Robert enjoyed listening to the songstress’s songs, it made her think of back home when she used to sing. She did sometime wonder how her singing voice was still like but would never test it out.
Course eventually their turn finished and the music was replaced by a man who’d been fought for the people that over through her land, who often sung of songs about it. Robert had come to accept that the man had no idea who she was and it wasn’t actual a problem, but it always felt like he was taunting her specifically.
“Bobby,” the landlord called out to her, “Go to the table to check if any of them want any food.” She nodded, grabbed a notepad and moved through the crowds to the tables. She went through a couple of tables, going back to the counter each time and passing an order and money to the landlord. As she moved towards the on with the five new patrons, she noticed one of them, the girl, brush past her off towards the front door.
“Hello gentlemen,” Robert said in German, “My name is Robert and I will be you waiter, would you guys be interested in any food or lodge?” She held out a couple of menus that she’d been passing round and taking back from patrons as she’d been taking orders. The youngest of them muttered in the Nordic tongue to the others some food preferences of him and the girl before getting up and following her out. Robert therefore kept her attention to the three remaining men, though her eyes felt naturally drawn to the armoured warrior, though she hadn’t yet realized why.
