Sky Reaper
Images (if any):
Side view without details:
Physical description: The Sky Reaper is a very aerodynamic dragon. Its head is shaped like that of a sharks, and its body has a sleek look. It has spikes protruding from its backs and its brows. They are not used offensively, but rather to intimidate enemies. When the dragon feels threatened all the spikes extend to a minimum of two inches. Its eyes are much like the Night Fury's, where the pupils become smaller when startled or angry, and big when its in its normal state (as seen on the second picture to the bottom right of it. There are both types of eyes. The left one being normal, and the left being the angry one). Its color is dark blue, it looks black in the night, but in the sunlight you can see the slightly blue tints. The webs between the spikes are a lighter blue color, and the spikes themselves are black.
It has large bones covering each ridge of both wings. Most of the wing is used to tackle into enemies. But towards the tips the wings become knives. The wings are the main weapon of this dragon. Therefore making this dragon excellent in dog fights and close engagements but bad at long ranges. At the end of its tail it has four flaps to turn quickly, and maneuver quickly around enemies. Its wings are very large in proportion to its body, just to give it that speed it needs in dog fights. Sky Reapers have a medium shot limit, and can do a lot of damage. Yet the range is very short. This is good in a close quarters fights. This have a unique blue coloration to them, due to how the dragon produces its flame.
Each of the dragons wings measure 17 feet across. With the dragons body measuring 3 feet in width. Its length is a total of 20 feet. Its has a height of 6 feet.
Typical Behavior: Sky Reapers are fast, aggressive killing machines. They stalk prey at night, and during the day they hide between the clouds. They are silent dragons, usually sneaking up on their prey from above. When they see an opening they strike in full force, that is, if their target is close enough. They are normally loners and do not socialize with other dragons. Yet if a person risks their life for them they will take an interest in them. Usually when they attack ground targets they pass by in strafing runs. They dive down at full speed and shoot a stream of fire at the enemy before passing by again and doing the same. They are very rarely seen on land to to them having weak legs, and because that is when they are most vulnerable. They only land to sleep, or to take care of their young.
Abilities:
-Extends spikes to intimidate prey
-Can shoot stream of blue fire that is harder to put out
-Uses wings as weapons
Drawbacks:
-Can't swim for too long due to the weight of the bones on its wings
-Clumsy on land, and rarely lands due to this
-Wings can only be used at close range
-Streams of fire don't get too far
-Hard to train since they usually don't land
Blindspot: Behind
Training Methods: Feed it fish. Do something to get its interest, so don't act like all the other Vikings. This is when it will stalk you from far away. Slowly but surely. Attempt to get closer to it. Find where it sleeps when you go to sleep. Then sneak up on it and softly stroke it from the cheek to its lower wing. The dragon sees this as a sign of defeat, where you were able to sneak up to it. And petting it shows how you don't mean any harm. Not only that but the dragon seems to realize that you snuck up to it at its weakest moment, when it's on land.
Habitat: Very rarely you will see them flying in clouds above mountains.
Diet: Fish, and sometimes meat, but its hard for it to grab any other wild life than fish due to it not having talons.
