NAME: Vikar Auðunarsson
AGE: 29 years
ORIGIN: Outcast, but he's not about to tell you that
OCCUPATION: Vikar is a traveler...if you haven't guessed that yet. A boat that he's modified himself...with the symbols scratched off as if to keep himself a secret. Along with the sea legs he has, Vikar loves to pick up on different skills. Not to aid other people however, more in the way to aid himself. But mostly a Seamen and a jack of all trades, as he will try to master bits and pieces of what he can learn from others.
GENDER & SEXUALITY: Male, and the sexuality has never escaped from his lips. No one knows what he favors in other people, let alone liking anyone else around him, as he's always seen as a solitude kind of person, only occasionally getting into groups to know what's going on in the villages he enters. (Bisexual, but it hasn't sparked yet, planning on doing so in the current RPs).
LIKES:
(1) His Freedom; you put him in a cage and you'll be next on his list to visit with a not so friendly greeting. You keep him from his main travel, which in this case is his boat, and he'll act like you've just stolen his wife away, balistic is what you will see in him at that point
(2)Music, like luling a beast to sleep, Vikar's temper can be soothed by song or melody, even a lulaby embbarrasingly. His strong love of music is another factor in why he travels, to hear the different taste and learn it himself, so he can play or share the songs/melodies himself.
(3) Learning from the Best, Vikar is a very skilled young man and always looking for the potential to better himself...or to prove a point. If he see's or is going after a certain skill, he'll try to scoop out the best viking who can preform the skill. Vikar will attempt to pay handsomly to learn the skill; be that trade or hard labor.
(4) His love of the night sky. Vikar prefers to sleep under the night sky, as he feels the gods are watching over him by the sparkling stars. On special occasions or on sad times, you may hear Vikar sing a tale or play one of his instruments in the dead of night.
DISLIKES:
(1) Vikings who have anything involved with Dragons. Vikar is a very old-rule restricted man. He prefers the old way...but it wasn't from his upbringing, but that did cause alittle bit of it. Vikar is not to fond of anything related to the scaly beasts.
(2) Young vikings following him about. He's not the best socially, and quite frankly younger vikings tend to annoy him from the innocence they have and the unknown of the outside world. Since some of them have dragons, Vikar believes this to be a way of cheating; not seeing the world on your own and aided when getting confronted...yes he's a bit weird in his logic, I know.
(3) Talking about his Origin; you won't get one lick of information from him about his birth home or his family, which infact are ali-...nevermind. No information.
(4)Being kept up. Whether being held up somewhere or waiting on something/someone to make something happen. Vikar has no patience, he blames that a bit on his upbringing, and the fact that a seaman goes from destination A to B without so much of a reroute. You hold him up, you'll hear a sailor's mouth flowing from his lips like a dragon's fire.
STRENGTHS:
(1)Boatsmen, a strength of knowledge really. Anything needed to be known by the sail to the starboard. He'll gladly take to the sea for a voyage...or a plunder, if that's what Berk is into at all.
(2) Studying, more of a mental strength. Vikar prefers, when not being a hermit, to study the day-by-day goings of the village. Even keeping track of one individual for a period of weeks...stalker much!
(3) A combat Strength, Bow and Arrow. It's the only one he prefers to use, even at close combat. Vikar prefers his trusted bow that he's carried for years, trained with from the beginning. He'll buy arrows like they are going out of business...almost like he's preparing for a fight sometimes, but no one ever see's him use them. He never seems to practise around other people either, preferably around his own camp area and away from pryful eyes.
(4) Storytelling. Vikar Travels far enough to tell tales of other people's lives...whether he tells them true or sprinkles a little spice into the story. Lies or none, he makes them as convincing as he can. Meanwhile going about the villages he visits to see what other stories he can pick up.
WEAKNESSES:
(1) Illiterate. Vikar was never actually taught how to read and write. Even for being such a skillful young man, he seems to avoid writing and reading all together. Whether it's a disinterest or he has a reason not to want to learn this skill for himself. So don't expect him to be reading your love notes or emergency letters. He will be none the clueless as to what it is or what has been said unless someone reads it for him.
(2) Not fullfilling a skill's lessons; to put it more simpler, Vikar will threatenly beg you to teach him skills, or will preform an act to continue any sort of training. This can be an easy way to take advantage of him, as he will not stop until he's mastered or understood what he is being taught...or find out he's being used.
(3) His temper gets in the way of everything, it's not like he means to be a cruel guy...he's got plans in his mind and doesn't take kindly to obsticles in his path.
(4) Expressing his feelings is a terrible downflaw of his. He bottles up all his emotions...almost all of them. He's not one to show kindness, love, courtisy, friendship, loyalty, or to be very trusting. He stores it behind steel walls, like a caged beast ready to break loss. Even Vikar doesn't know when his steel cage will be broken.
FEARS:
(1) Dragons, and there's a reason for it. His home land was always under attack by the feral aggressive beasts, mostly because his people would always be the first to initiate an attack or piss a flying scaly off. Vikar has one extreme reason why he doesn't like them and it revolves around his family, with great injury and loss of half of his village...he has a right to fear the beasts...for the wrong reasons.
(2) Being overcrowded; no one's ever seen what happens when he's been either cornered or in the middle of a large crowd, but there must be a reason why he avoids it as much as possible. Even with social gatherings in the villages, he'll join in the way back or possibly sitting on something nearby so he feels not too surrounded by the crowd
(3) Becoming deaf...yeah this one's a bit strange, but if you have a love for music, you want to be able to have the only bodily function to hear the sounds. Vikar knows enough about certain dragons out there who's roars can deafen people, and avoids them like a plaigue.
(4) Lossing his Boat. He's a bit emotionally connected to his transportation. Mostly staying around it if not being somewhere in the woods with his belongings in his camp. He's even got a name for the boat...Marella!
AMBITIONS:
(1)A Desire to out-preform his family. His father was more skilled than alot of the other tribe members, and would always brag about it as well. Vikar would always try to show himself off to his father, so far nothings really worked for him to gain his father's acknowledgment.
(2) To learn multiple songs. For the love of his music, anything that's a song or melody, Vikar will go to great heights to either force you or beg you to teach him one.
(3) To out-preform other vikings. Basically like how he wishes to out preform his father, but a little differently. Vikar will use his skills to his own wish, for his own reasons. But he'll automatically try to one-up anyone showing off a skill they know...whether Vikar knows it or not.
(4) Vikar has the plan to make his own melody, he's got an idea for the topic which would be the night sky, but he's still trying to figure out the rest of it.
SECRETS:
(1) The reason Vikar has come to Berk, and he's heard it from other villages he's meet, is to study the interaction of vikings and dragons...but not under good terms. Where he grew up, dragons were always at war with his village, installing fear into the young boy as he grew up. He has a fearful hatred for the dragons...and anyone who is involved with them. Vikar isn't visiting Berk for no reason, he's trying to see how strong they are along with their 'pets' to see if they can confront an attack in the future...but for now, he'll sit back and wait.
(2) The reason Vikar studies everyone is to make sure later on he doesn't get any suprises in his plans for Berk, watching over the village gives him an idea of how people will react to different interactions. Be that an attack, a storm, a stampeed of their own flock, items or even people missing. Keep an eye on him, cause he's got his eyes on you.
