"Come along. I want to show you something if you're not tired. " Those were the only words that Curtis said to Luna before they had made their way out the door, leaving the dragons back to sleep as they already were doing so.
The night was cold, but it wasn't bone chilling like it usually so it was fairly bearable compared to most nights. There was a very light breeze which was only felt about every couple minutes or so, on and off at varying degrees. The moon was full tonight, providing almost perfect lighting to talk a walk about, it was nice to not have to carry a torch or some other light with them, it would only gather attention.
Curtis walked alongside Luna, hand in hand with her as they made their way out of the village and out towards the forest and mountains on the inner parts of the island. "The nights are always so peaceful." He made comment as he looked over to Luna out of the corner of his eye. "Just quiet and everything is sleeping instead of stalking around the forests. "
This wasn't the first time Curtis had brought Luna out onto a walk at night on a whim. Normally they just make their way down a path they have basically made by themselves over the course of months, but tonight as they reached the apex point of where they would turn around and head back, Curtis continued on with Luna. Tonight was the odd night that there was something that he wanted to show her and it just happened to be off the beaten path of theirs. Quietly they continued on, while Luna had no idea where they were going, Curtis full well knew. He was smirking to himself because he knew that Luna had the thought of "Where are we going? in her head.
The forest around them began to thin out as they reached the base of the mountains, Curtis knew that on foot he had never been here aside from the time he found the area, and he had to figure that Luna knew little about the closely area. Curtis let go of Lunas hand and motioned for her to follow him as he headed up a rough and rocky area. Little amount of climbing was actually required as it was mostly just large steps that were needed to get up the natural ledges. "Careful on your way up." Curtis forewarned as he already made his way up, practically at the top of the ledge already.
Curtis waited at the top of the ledge and glanced back down to Luna as she made her way up. He knelt down to the edge and held out his arm to Luna waiting to pull her up once she grabbed his, when she did he helped lift her up onto the ledge beside him. He smiled as he felt the air around them begin to become somewhat humid and a tad bit warmer along with it. He could see the questioning look on Lunas face as he motioned for her to follow with him some more.
It took less then a minute for Curtis to reach the area he intended to bring Luna to, and right after Luna showed up behind him. He glanced over to her before looking back to the pool of water in front of them, "Thought you'd might enjoy this. It's a hot springs. Not sure how I never found it earlier though."
