"Ah jeez." Valgard looked at his boots with dismay. "These were fine yesterday." He sighed. He had recently woken up to find a bunch of holes chewed into the soles and sides of his boots. "Did you do this?" He pointed at Stump passively. "Come on. You know these are my only pair. Gah." He waved his hands a little before slumping over. He knew he had to get them fixed to continue his day to day functions, but that mean't actually talking to people to explain his problem. He knew it was going to be a fairly long walk back from the woods, but what he didn't like was the idea of going in chewed up boots. "If I have to pay for this. You're dead." He stood up and opened the door to the outside world. It was relatively warm and quite sunny out, though, through the forest canopy, it was a little difficult to see completely. "Let's go I guess."
Valgard had made enough progress on his journey to reach to village once again. "It's a pretty nice day. Maybe not by my standards, but by many other peoples' standards. Man. One of these days I'm going to get called crazy for talking to you when you can't understand me, but you're great. So I won't mind." He picked up Stump and set him on his shoulders. "Let's get these boots fixed up." He walked through town a little bit before finding the spot for boot and shoe repair. "I think this is the spot Stump. Only one way to find out... unfortunately." He knocked on the front door a few times before Stump hopped off his shoulders and started to sniff around the bottom of the door. He hopped a few times before rolling over. He rolled back over and charged the door, successfully knocking himself a bit loopy and creating a very loud noise. "Oh boy. What did you find this time?"
