Hey guy, Pimey here!
Over the past month or so there’s been quite a bit of talk with some member about the idea of making villain characters more of a thing on this site again and over the past week I’ve been working on a draft for a new feature which will help with just that. Today I feel like I’ve worked out enough that it’s ready to te introduced in a beta testing manner so say hello toooooo
One-shot Characters!!!
Look in the One-shot character sub-board in Scheming HQ for information about what this feature is and how you can use it. I have also written and posted a couple of examples which are kind of ideas which have always been sitting around for my characters, and over the next few days and weeks, I and the other admins will be adding in a lot of the NPCs who we have had cropping up in the background so you guys know and could maybe use yourselves at some point.
Also, with all of this I would like to announce that we are changing our rule slightly about rare dragons. We are still keeping it, but we have decided to change the number of posts required to be allowed to make rare dragons. We’ve used 150 posts as the number sin 2010, since Abyss (the original admin) instated this rule, and if you don’t look at the history of our site, 150 posts feels like a good number to go for, not too big not too small.
But In the 5 and a half years since the rule was started only four members have yet had a character who have reached that number, all of whom have now gained status of Schemateer. Given how few people have even reached three figures, let alone 150 in all this time, and how it was just an arbitrary number chosen by a now gone admin, we have decided to lower the post count required to apply for a rare dragon down to 100 posts with a single character.
For those who are either on this new line or over it, enjoy the new freedom of choice and to everyone else who desperately wants to play a rare dragon, you now have a slightly closer target to aim for. I will note that we will be reviewing rare dragons with a harsher level of critique than we would with a non-rare dragon, and please consider rare dragons which aren’t Night Furies!!! They are meant to be the rarest of the rare.
P.S. I am so sorry we didn’t install this sooner Crystal please don’t be mad at us.
