Two quick updates which we should have done a while ago. Firstly, after taking far to long to get around to it, we have updated the season to spring (sorry about that).
Secondly, at the beginning of the year, we as an admin team agreed on the dating convention our site should use. We don't want to use real world years (as that would imply that actual history mattered), nor do we want to use any canon event as a reference point. So instead we have decided on having the current in-character year be refered to as "22 years after Hysteria's Doom" (22HD), where Hysteria's Doom refers to the year in which the dragon revolt and subsequent change in policy that made Hysteria Anti-Dragons.
The dating convention will be that (for example) the year of Hysteria's Doom (22 years ago) is 0HD, 5 years after Hysteria's doom (17 years ago) is 5HD and 5 years before Hysteria's Doom (27 years ago) is -5HD. For the posts that currently exist, any posted between August and December is in 21HD, and everything January and after is 22HD, so not it will be good for new threads to include the year so that when we hit August again we can tell the difference between the years.
