OVERALL PERSONALITY: Trava generally doesn’t express all to much emotion. Given her lifestyle she isn’t particularly good at socializing, and tends to come off as rude with her blunt statements. She generally stays quite and speaks only when it’s necessary due to this fact. Despite her lonely upbringing, she lives a fast paced life and would have it no other way. She doesn’t like living on the edge or stepping out of her comfort zone in the slightest.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Trava was all but impressive, with her teal eyes and slim frame. She stands at a whopping five foot two and weighs only one hundred and twenty three pounds. Needless to say her dragon dwarfed her. Trava’s olive complexion is framed by shoulder length scruffy blonde hair. She wears a heavy red wool undershirt, which is her main protection against the elements given the long sleeves. She wore generic tan pants that were obviously baggy on her, along with heavy winter boots that extended up to her mid calf and had the outside completely covered in fur, aside from the soles of course. On top of her undershirt she normally wears a thick hide vest with a fur covered hood.
HISTORY: Trava’s parent’s were seafaring merchants, and were good at their trade. They learned many things about dragons along their routes, as both dreamed of being dragon riders but had never had the means to follow that dream.
Trava lived most of her childhood on her Parent’s ship, with the only outside interaction being when they stopped at docks to sell their merchandise. Although, Trava generally stayed on the ship and interacted with as few people as possible during these times.
It wasn’t until Trava was around four or five years old, that she found her dragon. Despite being a Timberjack, the dragon was relatively small for it’s species, which may be the reason why it was able to sneak onto the ship unnoticed. Trava had found the small dragon feasting in the fish barrels that her parents worked hard to catch. Never having seen a dragon before Trava immediately informed her parents of what she had found. Of course, being in the middle of absolutely nowhere with nothing but ocean on all four sides, there was no way the tiny Timberjack would be able to fly all the way to land. So Trava’s parents let her keep the dragon, on the condition that she would have to find a way to tame it.
Trava was about eleven when her dragon finally began to warm up to her, and it was only determination and fish that made that happen. Training the dragon was hard work, and Trava nearly gave up numerous times. But if you asked her now she would say that every ounce of sweat and blood that she poured into befriending her dragon was worth it. It was around this time that Trava started experimenting with weapons, and tried to figure out which one suited her best. Her parents, of course, encouraged her to become independent and find a way to protect herself. About half a year in Trava discovered her love for axes, as she had been playing around with one that was going to be sold as merchandise. Her parent’s gave her her own meager steel axe which she practiced with quite frequently given the fact that there wasn’t much else to do on a merchant’s ship in the middle of nowhere.
As Trava got older her dragon got bigger, so big in fact that Trava’s sixteenth birthday present was a beautiful double headed iron axe with leaves carved into the wooden hilt, and a one way trip to Berk, which her parents frequently visited for trading purposes. She and her dragon, which she had decided to name Fallen Leaves, stayed in the forests of Berk, as neither were accustomed to a bustling village life. The two had bonded enough over these years to keep Fallen Leaves from abandoning Trava during this time, unlike the bond that she had with their parents, whom she never saw again.
Up until presently Trava and Fallen Leaves caught their own meals, lived alone, and did everything themselves without the help of the village. In fact they did their best to stay out of the villages way, seeing as how a life of seclusion worked just fine for the two. At night the sheer mass of her dragon kept her warm, and alive through the harsh winters. Trava spent her free time practicing her fighting and using a trial and error system to learn how to fly on her dragon bareback.
WEAPON OF CHOICE: A Double Headed Axe
FIGHTING STYLE: Let The Attacker Wear Themselves Out Then Strike
DRAGON NAME: Fallen Leaves (Although Trava will normally refer to her as Leaf)
DRAGON TYPE: Timberjack
DRAGON APPEARANCE: Fallen Leaves’ hide is a deep red color, which is how Trava came to name her, as she blends in perfectly with the autumn foliage as it changes it’s color. The only distinguishing feature, other than it’s relatively small size for a Timberjack, is it’s teal eyes.
DRAGON PERSONALITY: Given the fact that Fallen Leaves is still fairly young she is lighthearted and energetic. She likes pushing her limits and seeing just what she is capable of, which normally puts her cautious rider on edge. Despite this separating factor she loves her rider very much, and treats them as if they were a clutchmate, sibling. This lighthearted dragon will only lose their playful nature and become far more serious if her rider is in danger.
DRAGON TECHNIQUES: What she lacks in sheer size for a Timberjack, she makes up for with her agility and speed. Not to mention her wings are abnormally sharp and has been the accidental cause of her riders pain on numerous occasions.
