Gronckle
Physical Description: Gronckles are very round in appearance. Their bodies are almost made of balls. They have four short legs to walk on the ground with, and a pair of very small wings. Their tail ends like a large bludgeon, but it's almost the same size as their heads, making Vikings get confused which end is which. Gronckles have large chins and a maw full of teeth, with two protuding lower fangs, almost like tusks. They have large eyes on the top of their heads, and webbed 'ears' instead of horns. They are usually coloured in earthy tones, but they can really be any colour.
Typical Behaviour: The Gronckle can be a slow, lazy, and cranky bulldog-like dragon; it has been known to fall asleep mid-flight, waking only when it plunges into the sea or crashes into a mountain. They spend the majority of the day sleeping.
Abilities:
- Gronckles eats rocks and then melts them in their stomach to produce blasts of lava.
- When Gronkles ingest more than one rock at a time, they will occasionally spit out a brand-new substance in lava form.
- Gronkles are amoung the few dragons who can fly backwards, or side to side.
- Unlike the other dragons, the Gronckle can refill its so called shot limit fairly quickly.
- Like all Boulder Class dragons, Gronckles have extremely strong jaws, being able to crush boulders with ease.
- They are the only known dragons that are immune of Dragon Root.
- When they are provoked or surrounded, the Gronckle will inhale deeply, the bumps on their bodies will blast off and scatter in every direction for self defense.
Shotlimit: 6
Drawbacks:
-They fly slowly due to their small wings and bulky bodies.
- Not only slow fliers, they are extremely lazy.
Blindspot: rear, and sides.
Training Methods: To train a Gronckle, one must feed it Dragon Nip or rocks and calm it down. A good scratch under it's chin and it will likely love you forever. They are certainly not difficult to please
Habitat: Forests and Caves
Diet: Boulders of any size or shape
