Windbender
Images (if any):
Physical Description: Windbenders have two back legs and two front legs. Their body is thin and very long. Their chest is normally wider. Their wingspan can be 8-10 feet long, a 5-7 foot long tail, 6-8 feet tall. Their tail tip has smaller wings that help the turn and balance when flying and swimming. Two long horns are on their head with 2 or 3 smaller horn along their cheek. Their head horns are connected with webbed skin. The horns are normally flat back, covering their neck. When they get nervous, scared, angry, or are attacked, their webbed horns can pop out. The skin on their wings connect back to their wing spine, not their back. This allows the wings to turn and twist.
The Windbender's scales can be sea foam green, light blue, or dark blue. Their scales are normally blue/green or lighter blue with navy blue markings, but Windbender's can have full navy blue scales with black or blue markings. Their eye color matches their scale color. Their horns are either black or white. Their wings and webbing matches their scale color. The top of their wings in darker then the underside of their wing.
Stats: (Check with the dragon class of your choice for the maximum for each stat, and don't exceed it)
Attack:
Speed:
Armour:
Fire power:
Shot limit:
Venom:
Jaw Strength:
Stealth:
Typical Behaviour: The are very independent dragons that hardly stay in one spot. They are very curious and have been known to fly/swim along ships. Hatchlings are especially hard to handle. Windbenders live alone or in small group with about 3-4 dragons.
Abilities:
- Windbender's wings can twist, turn, and curve to help it fly. Their wings can twist 360 degrees. Their long tail also helps
- Fast flyer
- Their fire is more like water. It is dark blue in the center and gets lighter until white flames spark off of it. Instead of the fire being hot, it is cold. It is basically water that acts like flames of fire When breathing water 'fire', they can scoop up a lot of water into their mouth to make their hits stronger
- They are very graceful and agile when they move
- They can travel far by gliding over wind. This saves their energy, allowing them to go further
- They have been known to bat their wings to attack or use their wings as a shield because they are so strong
- Strong attacks against heat/fire dragons
- They breath air, and don't have gills. They can spend about 10 minutes underwater
- They can see easily underwater
Drawbacks:
- Their 'fire' is weak if they are away from water. If they are away from water they can get 2-4 shots max
- They don't have much of an attack strategy. Their water 'fire' is good for stunning a dragon or prey, maybe killing prey or a Viking if the cold flames are strong enough
- They prefer the cold to the heat. If it is snowy, they will can be seen roaming through the forest
- They are also weak against a heat or fire dragon attacking
- They dont have gills, so they can drown
Training Methods: The Windbender is a trainable dragon, but it could take a long time, years, to train because of their independent and free personality. Young or old, they always are independent creatures that would probably be a friend who dragons in whenever
Habitat: Since they are strong flyers, they can travel far. They can be seen from the coast of Berk the surrounding islands far away. Windbenders like live near the water. They can swim, but mainly stay on land
Diet: They eat fish, but will eat almost everything else. They are not picky. They are able to dive into the water to get fish.
