Boneafur
Images (if any):
Physical Description: *This scarce and shy dragon is Boney for certain! This dragon looks like an actual walking thin-skinned dragon with bones and muscles seemingly exposed and no protection; the faint, transparent skin has a weird sticky residue that coats it's whole body to keep it moist even in dry conditions..but things can still get stuck to it.
*Bonaefur's have rather flat wide heads that are very long and come to a point at the end and two large flat ears that are able to be completely unseen when against the skull-like head; some say this smooth looking head protects a Bonaefur's eyes as they are very sensitive to light, as you can see there are no eyes on this dragon, but that's what you can see on the outside; walking outside in the morning with this dragon can be a struggle till it can adjust to the light. This creature has a set of Fangs, frontal teeth and smaller tearing teeth behind the fangs. A pair of fangs on top and bottom, four smaller sharp teeth between the fangs and two on the outside of the fangs. All the teeth are at the tip of the mouth and the rest of the mouth is like inner muscle-walls that help push down food to the throat.
*It's body is like that of a boney medium sized dragon; medium sized neck with mostly muscles showing and long tube-like tendons. It's jaw is held together by tendons and almost looks as if it would fall off if messed with. The chest is hard from the rib-cage and torso and pelvic, surrounded in layers of muscle, and only a soft transparent skin with a coating of slime-like mucus. The tail is long and slender with each tail bone connected to the next by smaller tendons, so the tail can twist, turn in lots of different ways; the end of it's tail is like an enlarged scorpions tail, slightly curved and a bit blackish at the tip. The legs are a bit thicker with muscle than bone and the claws as sharp and pointed as a newly-sharpened blade. All together the body of this dragon is slender and sickly skinny looking without any camouflage or armor it sticks to it's skin; and also very flexible and nimble with it's moves. It's wings are a bit different than other dragons; vestigial wings that fold into a protective back bone-like shell smooth looking like the head is, so these weird beasts can look wingless and suddenly surprise you with very long wide at the fingertip wings.
Catching this dragon with no armor is as rare as finding them! They almost always have something on their body and can very easily take off and put on new things..consider yourself lucky not to see one nude though.
Viking debate what and where the Bonaefur has evolved from, as it has many characteristics of different dragons. It's body seem to make it like a subspecies of Boneknapper Dragons. The ability to blend in with it's surroundings like a Changewing. It's burning tar-like plasma shot like a Nightfury. No one's quite sure whe
Stats:
Attack: 3
Speed: 6
Armour: 1/14
Fire power: 5
Shot limit: 4
Venom: 0
Jaw Strength: 4
Stealth: 17
Typical Behaviour: This is a strange dragon at the least; but only it's appearance makes it look freaky. These dragons are fairly shy and timid, as to why they hide with different things on their bodies; their own appearance can even freak themselves out if looking in the water or say a Vikings mirror if trained.
Abilities: *Spitting ability; able to launch tar mass at long-range. The hot substance will become sticky on contact and slowly begin to burn it's victim/target if they get hit/touch the substance.
This dragon has a skill sort of like the Changewing, but it uses the environment, sticking anything on it's coated skin to hide itself..becoming part of the environment and try to mimic it's stuck material to make itself look more natural.
*Like the Boneknapper, this dragon has no roar..but has no way of getting one period! These dragons are like domestic cats; separate than the big Cats who can roar! These dragons have a sort of chittering noise they make. At times it's like a chirp and other's a cackling screech!
Drawbacks: *With no armor-equipped and skin that almost doesn't seem to be there, this dragon can be quite a shock! It's own bones and muscles are visually exposed to the elements.
*This dragon hates heat and fire as the sticky-residue it creates can make it catch fire..that can be very deadly for the dragon as the skin, Bones and muscles cannot stand against these high hot temperatures.
*Because their body needs the environment to hide from predators or enemies; the sticky residue can create a few problems. If a part of a Bonaefur's body is not covered with something then the sticky residue it's body creates will be whipped against the ground, creating a trail for other dragons or vikings to follow. It also can stick to things that the Dragon doesn't notice it's near; say the dragon is camouflaging in sand at the moment and one of it's legs picks up a crab by one of it's legs..would it be quite odd to see a crab stuck to sand and have a weird clear liquid covering it's legs and move about as if in distress?
Training Methods: Training a Bonaefur takes time and patience like every other dragon; a few have noticed that the Bonaefur likes when you stay still and move slowly; like how they do when they are hiding; it shows them that you have a understanding to their behavior. Also a bit of yummy crab servings will surely interest these dragon, or any food with a hard shell or exoskeleton is a favorite of Bonaefurs.
