NAME: Drotta Dogbreath, Drotta Helensdottur

OCCUPATION: Hunter, trapper, fisher, general feeder of the small Nowherian population. Better at fishing than anything else.
GENDER & SEXUALITY: Female, bisexual? Has lived in such a small community, grown up with everyone close enough to be family, that she's never really thought about it much.
LIKES:
- Storytelling: there's not much entertainment around, and Drotta always takes her turn at the fire seriously
- Being out in the wilderness for weeks at a time without parents around, omg; there's nothing better than being alone with Faceater and his pack, and the feeling of coming back with saddles full of food
- Bone carving: wood is scarce up there, what there is being torn from the ship years ago and reused over and over again, until it rotted away, but good, large pieces of bone can be tucked in a bag and carried out on the hunt, carved during the long, slow days to keep busy
- Singing: she is terrible at it, but the kids and the dragons seem to like listening to her high-pitched mumblings, and she enjoys it
- Swimming: this is one of the things she can share with Faceater. She can't really keep up with him on foot, but she's not that far behind him in the sea. For short bouts, of course- it's cold in there!!
DISLIKES:
- Knitting and sewing: Drotta made most of her own clothes! Aaaand it shows. She just cannot get the hand of it. It's all awful, Odin's great buck teeth but she hates it!
- Being cooped up: It's useful for warmth, but sleeping in a small space with the rest of the settlement, hearing Uncle Niall's snoring and lil' Igjolf's cries, it's not Drotta's idea of a good time.
- Bears: The great big white ones are the only real predators the Sunstalker has, and Drotta has taken them very seriously since Faceater was wounded a few years back. Bears are bad news.
- Being corrected on anything: She's a very proud person, and having a mistake pointed out in front of others is a surefire way to get on her bad side.
STRENGTHS:
- survivalist: Drotta is used to going out with Faceater, with minimal supplies, and managing for a week or more. She's very clever and confidant in the wilderness and can pretty easily feed herself and one or two others on the go.
- patient: She can focus for ages on a single task, be it hunting, fishing, sewing (it takes hours for her to do anything), whittling. She's used to living a slow-paced life, for the most part.
- honest: Look, the Frozen Isle only has a couple dozen citizens- everyone is in everyone's space all the time, and everyone knows just about everything about everyone else. Keeping secrets, telling lies- it all gets found out eventually, and you'll just get in trouble for it. So she learned that honesty is the best policy pretty early on.
WEAKNESSES:
- ego the size of a yak: Yeaaaah, she's confidant and self-sufficient and proud, and she tends to point out all of those things. Might get her punched in the face someday.
- seasonal allergies to dandelion and cowberry and a bunch of other plants: it'll get better as she gets exposed to them, hopefully...
