Time and Date:: Late December
Weather:: Cold and Snowy, but the sun is out
Previous Threads?:: BASCIALLY EVERY THREAD UP UNTIL THIS POINT
It was a cold day, very cold in fact. Perhaps the coldest this season had seen this year, but it was only fitting, because today was Snoggletog! Luna had grown very fond of the Berkite holiday in the time that she had resided there- it was always something to look forward to. Tonight would be the big feast at the Mead Hall, and it was the first year Curtis would celebrate with the village. Luna was certainly in good spirits.
The feast tonight would begin to draw the holiday to a close, but the end of the Snoggletog season wasn't all bad. Of course they would miss the good cheer of the festival, but it meant the dragons would be returning soon from their own traditions. It was truly bittersweet. There was no way of telling the exact date- they might not return for a few more days, but that was fine by Luna. While she missed having her own dragon close, the mass migration meant she was out of work for as long as they were gone, and the return would bring a boom of patients- something she was more than happy to postpone.
The past week or so had been cozy- just she and Curtis, well, and their new resident- Beornwyn. She still wasn't quite sure what to think of him, but she was pretty sure she liked him. He could sure be annoying, but overall, he was alright to have around. His dragon, Delemia, was a typical Ambassador- proud and stubborn. He and Ayer had butted heads a few times, but she wasn't to concerned, even though Ayer was old. The Aquaterris was strong, and the newcoming dragon would simply have to learn who he was subordinate to.
Today had been yet another lazy day- which Luna didn't mind. She had awoken late, sun already high in the sky. Curtis had left shortly afterward on some errand- he hadn't mentioned what- and Beornwyn had been gone before she'd even woken up.
The house was quiet, something she wasn't used to anymore. It was a little lonely, but it was kind of nice. Luna stoked the fire, adding another fat log to the flames before curling up nearby in a comfy chair and letting her eyes wander lazily as she thought about what the evening's festivities were sure to bring.
