Sliquifier
Physical Description: This tidal class dragon has a true sea serpent feel about it. It's head is narrow, and quite pointed at the tip sporting a thin curved nose horn. Above it's narrow golden eyes, are is a small yet still fairly tall fin on it's head. The underside of it's jaw it has four curved tendrils. It also seems to have a slightly luminescent pouch the glow is also visible from the inside of it's mouth.
Down it's long thin neck, it has another long fin. The first spine of the fun is the tallest, and each one following gets shorter until the fin ends before the dragons shoulders. It's wings are more like fins than anything, also consisting of long thin spines with webbing between them. The longest being almost the same length as two thirds of the entire dragon.
It's long tail is void of any fins or spines along the top, but ends in a large fan like fin repeating the same spine and webbing pattern as the rest of it's fins.
For a tidal class dragon, it's limbs are not short in comparison to the rest of it. They aren't overly long either, and each ending in three thick claws.
Typically the dragon comes in cool colours, commonly a combination of teal body and purple-tinged blue fins.
Typical Behaviour: This supersonic swimmer is among the fastest in the Tidal Class. So loyal and trustworthy, it may even let a rider sit in its mouth... without eating him. But because of their home and hunting habits, they are rarely seen by humans. They are solo hunters, and rarely encounter others of their kind. They aren't anti-social dragons, but they don't often get a chance to be social.
Abilities:
- Their greatest strength, is their speed. In the water, there are very few things that can rival them. They use this most often when hunting, to pull ahead of their prey in a surprise attack.
- These dragons are very particular about their food. None of that skin business, they will make sure the tasty insides, are on the outside.
- Like all other tidal dragons, they do not have a fire based attack. Instead they breath acid.
Drawbacks:
- Like many tidal dragons, they are not built for land. They are slow and awkward when traversing the land.
- As their wings are built more like fins, they aren't the most graceful of fliers either. Their speed decreases considerably in the air.
- They can't fire their acid very fast, which means it doesn't have a good range.
Training Methods: When training this dragon, you need to show it you are not fooling around. A stern hand, and a healthy heap of respect for the dragon will go a very long way. If this dragon thinks you don't know what you are doing, it will leave you in it's dust. And naturally, a bit skinned meat wouldn't hurt.
Habitat: These dragons prefer the open depths of the ocean, and will very rarely come close in to the shore. But should food become scarce they will follow it where ever it might take them, even if it means being forced closer to shore.
Diet: Fish and aquatic mammals.
