Thunderpede
Physical Description: The Thunderpede is one of the few dragon species with more than 6 extremities (4 limbs and 2 wings), instead this dragon has 10 extremities (8 limbs and 2 wings). Its legs are small and scrawny while its arms are big and strong.
It has a large jaw typical of Boulder class dragons, with a thick nasal horn. It is small spines that run down it's back, ending at the base of it's tail.
Just like the legs, the wings of this dragon are small for its size (like in many other boulder class dragons), but can flap in a great speed. It's got a creamy underbelly and a crimson coloration on the back. The Thunderpede seems like a small dragon, but it is quite large in size.
Typical Behaviour: These large dragons spend a lot of times in the mountains, one place they can drill out their own dens and enjoy the rocks around them. Should their tunnels lead them to encounter another dragon there can be clashes between them, but usually ending with one dragon leaving to find a new cave to tunnel out. They hold no qualms with other dragons, and while they will chase them out they will not attack first.
Abilities:
- The jackhammer-like forelegs of this ruthless Boulder Class bruiser can pulverize a massive boulder in seconds, and a viking even faster.
- Unlike most dragons, this dragon is able to fly since birth.
- Like the Gronkle and Hot Burple, this dragon has a lava attack made from the rocks it ingests.
Shotlimit: 12
Drawbacks:
- Because of it's tiny wings and otherwise massive body it is a very slow dragon in the air.
- The anatomy of this dragon simply wont allow it to turn quickly.
Blindspot: direct rear
Training Methods: You want to act tough with this dragon, if it sees you as it's equal it will respect you. Should you show signs of submitting however it will chase you away. If you can approaching it from behind, this dragons slow turning time will allow you a chance to jump on it's back. If you can manage to subdue it, the Thunderpede will accept you as the supiror being and then most normal dragon training tricks will work with it.
Habitat: They prefer to by surrounded by rock, but not the cold. They can be found in the mountains, just below the snow layer. But any large cave can be called home by a Thunderpede, and much like a Whispering Death they make long intercate tunnels running through out the otherwise solid rock.
Diet: Boulders, no preference to type.
