The sky was partly-cloudy as the red cutter finally came into view of the Berkian shoreline. The wind filling his sail and plastering his hair back, Harvast squinted before he put his hand to his brow, attempting to block out the sun that was peeking through the clouds. He couldn't feel his cheeks and this place looked as good as any other to stop for some rest and restock. Steam plumbed from beneath his high collar as he looked down at the tarps covering his cargo, hopefully the people liked oddities.
As the redwood ship drew closer, he waved down the dockmaster that was running up and down, preparing some of the few ships that remained in port. Curious, vikings normally sail ships, why was there so - a *WHOOSH* cut the air above him and he instinctively ducked, "What in Hel?" He turned to look behind him and saw a Nadder flying past him and out towards the sea. It wasn't attacking him, though it was still worrisome.
Pulling into dock, he looked over towards the viking, "What in the blazes is going on? That was a Deadly Nadder, not going to sound the alarm?" His question was met with racious laughter, "It was a Nadder, but no need to sound the alarms, that was one of ours. That one belongs to one of our teenagers. What did you come to dock for?"
The young man frowned at him and then turned back to watch the massive reptile bank and come back towards land, "A safe harbor and trade," he said trailing off. Looking back to the man who was rubbing his hands together, "Oh? Trade, what did ya bring us, Laddeh?"
Harvast laughed, "Just a few knick-knacks, scrimshaw from the south and some other things. Take a look, I'm willing to trade for food and possibly some lodging for a night?"
The older viking frowned, "Well, I don't know about lodging or food, you'd have to speak with the Chief for all that. But you might find some individual vikings willing to trade for some of your commodities."
Harvast nodded his thanks, "Bliss, thank you. I hope that I can get some customers here shortly. Thank you again, dock master."
