Navi loved the winter. Her body had a naturally higher temperature than other dragons which meant the cold didn't bother her the slightest. She'd even heard stories of her kind serving within ice for years. The other reason Navi loved winter was the snow. Not only was it beautiful but also served as an excellent conductor for her lighting.
Her stomach full of fish and her body full of electricity Navi took off into the sky. The sun was up only barely peaking through the dark clouds that cast shadows over the land and sea. The young skrill thought this was as good a day as any to challenge her two rivals. The cold would slow them down while Navi would remain unaffected.
As the young Skrill flew through the sky toward where the Night Fury and White Fear nested together, she came across the village of Berk. Navi had heard much about this village from other dragons and most of it was good. Navi normally flew too high in the air for any human to distinguish what dragon she was, but today was a little different. Her curiosity was getting the better of her and she flew a little lower than usual. One could make out her shape and purple color but she still doubted they nearly blind humans below would be able to tell what kind of awesome dragon she was. She wasn't close enough to be considered a threat either.
Navi glided over the village and looked at all the interesting sights to see. It certainly was much different from some of the other villages she'd seen not that village observing was a common hobby of hers. She had no idea what the differences meant but at least it was interesting to look at especially with all the dragons moving below. It was quite the sight.
It looked like one of the dragons below were about to come up and join her so high in the air but seemed to decided 'never mind' and head back. Perhaps they were like 'Oh its a skrill. Not sure I want to tangle with that.'
Navi's luck turned on her when an unlikely and unfortunate event happened. It was her own darn fault for paying so little attention to where she was going. A sleepy gronckle tired from a long flight. Navi hadn't even payed attention to the signature of the wings. The two collided in the air. The falling purple dragon may be a top notch flyer but stabilizing after a crash like that wasn't easy. She span and tumbled through the air like a lemming jumping off a cliff. When she finally regained control she was diving too fast and was quickly approaching the ground. She managed to level off but it wasn't enough as she slammed right into the forest trees knocking herself out. Her body tumbled through the branches snapping them off as she fell. Her body finally stopped; rested up against a tree trunk and her body laying limp with one of her wings set in an unnatural position, broken.
