Time and Date:: early-mid November, just after midday
Weather:: cold and cloudy
Previous Threads?:: Occupational Hazard
It had been a couple of weeks since Kenna had taken Sven’s measurements. Kenna had been surprisingly slow at making the clothes, mainly because she’d had to juggle her actual day job looking after Sven and keeping up some regards of her social life in Berk as well as work on this pet project of her. She wouldn’t do the work in front of Sven cause she wanted to keep what she was making a surprised, even though he did now know she was making it.
But she had finished the previous evening, she’d made him multiple sets of new shirts, trousers even some underwear with different stylings and fabrics. She’d made what she’d been doing into a much fuller project when she’d realised just how stupidly light weight Sven had been living the whole year, she’d know he’d been wearing that jacket and those same trousers the whole time, but now it seemed like his entire wardrobe comprised of one set. She’d also made him two jackets, one designed for Berk’s ‘summer’, so it probably would keep him about as warm as his old blue jacket did. The other was designed for winter weather, with a lot of fur and was made of relatively tough materials protect Sven a bit more if/when he next got on the bad side of a dragon.
Kenna completed her work though the morning, so she didn’t need to worry about it the rest of the day and then, after she cleaned herself up a bit and made sure she looked as nice as she could, collected all of the clothes she had made and took them to her uncle’s house. She thought about the her past few weeks with Sven. Over the previous week or so she’d been trying to get him to stand up and walk every now and then, just to make sure he didn’t start getting atrophy or anything like that. During the time they’d talked about many things. He’d been teaching her a lot about the different dragons he’d seen using his journal. He was very good at showing why he loved being a dragonologist and she was starting to learn some interesting stuff. She had talked to him about what was happening in the outside world and just generally tried to come up with interesting other topics to go though. The two had be a little bit more playful with each other since he’d had that weird drugged moment, though that was probably more just the fact he was more on the mend and so was better conversation. Still, what had happened was still running in her mind.
She finally reached Ari’s house, said hi to her aunt and uncle before moving into the back room. Kenna knew Ari wasn’t going to live with Sven much longer. He was basically at the point where he could walk again and the only reason why Sven hadn’t been set away with Ari coming to do home check-ups was because Sven didn’t have a home to be sent to. But her Uncle was going to force the outsider to leave sooner or later.
She opened the door to Sven’s room slightly awkwardly, since she had a large bundle of clothes in her arms, “Good afternoon, Sven.” She said chipperly as she moved over to the chair she normally sat on and put the clothes on it, “how are you doing?”
