Not being native to the Barbaric Archipelago these dragons don't truly fit into their dragon classification in the same manner as those native to the region.
Physical Description: These dragons are quite strange in appearance, quite a sight to behold. They have small, round heads followed by long and thick necks. Their torsos are not much thicker than their necks but considerably longer. Supported by thick legs ending with four short claws. Their tails are the length of their torso and neck combined.
On these dragons, their faces are the most decorated part of them. They have fairly large black noses, but the nostrils are average size in comparison. Running from their nose, up their face and right over the back of their head is a row of large thick green scales that start off flat and slowly build into a row of spines. Branching off from these green scales are a row spines that curve over their eyes, much like a humans eyebrows. Where these ridges end, a set of small sails that protect the dragons ears. Behind those sails, are a much larger set of sails that go from the top of their head to the bottom. Between the two sets are large pair of dense antlers. The size and shape of the antlers can vary from dragon to dragon, but are usually not terrible long. On the dragons cheeks are four long whiskers of varying lengths, usually darker green than the other green found on the dragon. They serve little purpose other than displaying emotion. They are extremely expressive dragons, and there is almost no way to mistake one emotion for the other with them.
Their bodies in comparison are rather plain, the only truly decorative feature is the row of spines that continue down from their had. As they go further down the dragons back they grow further apart, and larger until they eventually begin to taper off near the dragons hips. Their tails are completely plain.
Despite their names, these dragons are mostly tones of red. Their spines, and extra ridges are the only 'emerald' parts of them. They are however the most striking part of the dragon, and thus earned it's name.
Stats:
Attack: 8Typical Behaviour: These dragons are solitary creatures. But not because they are anti-social. It is simply because one food source would not be enough to sustain two of them for a prolonged period of time. About eights hours a day, this dragon is either eating or searching for food. Another eight is spent resting, either sleeping or sunbathing after their long meals. And then, when they have had their rest they are ready to play, run and jump. At least until the wear our their energy and have to begin the cycle again.

Being flightless dragons, they get around on foot. And above all else, they love to run. They aren't the fastest by any means, but they have the stamina to continue for hours. When not running, they are generally bouncing about. These dragons rarely sit still unless they are resting.
They are very friendly as far as dragons go, been known to approach and rescue injured humans. Their friendliness can often be mistaken as naivety as they will approach dangerous situations with optimism unparalleled by any other creature. This has also made them easy targets for dragon trappers.
Abilities:
- These dragons produce a vibrant blue flame, it is no hotter than a normal dragon fire. It is a direct result of the dragons diet.
- They are known for being quick on their feet, natures gymnists if you will.
- They have rounded, dull edged scales. But they posses the ability to puff up their scales to make themselves appear larger and can vibrate their tails in such a way that the scales make a rattling noise.
- While they do posses a potent venom, these dragons rarely use it. It is their very last line of defense, should everything else fail them.
Drawbacks:
- If there is a change in the dragons diet, it will directly affect it's ability to produce fire.
- Due to the nature of their stomachs, they are quite sensitive. Rotten food can make them terribly ill.
- Linked with this, these dragons have been known to get drunk off slightly fermented fruit.
Training Methods: These dragons are surprisingly easy to work with. They are naturally drawn to humans, and their curiosity paired with their desire to learn make them prime targets for dragon training. Should you come across a particularly ornery Emissary, an offer of some sweet fruit can calm the beast enough that they shouldn't be a problem any longer.
On the rare chance that the dragon doesn't respond to the usual trust exercises, climbing onto their backs and riding them out until they have no more energy to kick you off will work. Though this method may make working with the dragon in the future more difficult, as the beast wont fully trust you to begin with.
Habitat: These dragons primarily live in areas that are on average considerably warmer than the Barbaric Archipelago. Due to their tendencies to wander these dragons can be found spread out over the region we ke know as Asia. If there is a food source to sustain them, they will live there.
Diet: Strangely, these dragons are herbivores. They are capable of eating meat and fish, but they wouldn't be able to produce much fire if they were to change their food source. That being said, if left alone in a field of vegitation a single dragon could easily consume everything in the field.
