Running, when you don't have a dragon you want to be able to run fast.

Leather work, my father taught me and I've made more than enough armour.
WEAKNESSES: Audacity, some people just don't know when to shut up.
Milk allergy, the stuff makes me sick for days.
Deep sleeper, dragon attacks couldn't make me wake up early.
Left hand weakness, I'm lucky the thing still works at all.

AMBITIONS: Explore beyond the archipelago, there has to be so much out there to see.
Become a commander in the Outcast elite, no better way to prove yourself.
Become a legend, even after your death you'll never be forgotten.
SECRETS: Ren is afraid of heavy storms and it takes a great deal for him to be outside in one, the thunder and lightning he can handle but the heavy rain makes him feel enclosed and weighed down, he hates the idea of people knowing heavy rain scares him. Ren always keeps his hand covered hating anyone seeing his burn because he feels stupid for it, that even as a child he should've known better and that for a dragon rider it was a complete show of failure, he's very protective of it as a secret.
OVERALL PERSONALITY: Ren is an Outcast and always will be inside, he likes a good fight and he isn't in any way afraid of playing dirty. He wants to develop beyond this but he knows it'll always be in his nature to be a little untrustworthy and rash. Still he isn't the type to apologize for it or make excuses. Monotony is his eternal enemy, hunting and leather working on Outcast island was so boring that he felt like he was going insane which was half the reason he chose to leave. He is a little biased against Berk because they seem soft to him and he inwardly believes they need to stand up and prove they aren't as weak as he thinks. Ren has yet to have to work as part of a group for more than a day or so meaning he can be slow to accept others as capable or worth being alongside him until they prove themselves.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Ren has a thick mane of black hair similar to many Outcasts and while he doesn't have a beard like them he does have a small scruff of one on his chin. His eyes are a deep brown and have a somewhat predatory look to them with his solid brow and slightly broken nose. Ren is tall and slim with most of his strength being in his lower body. He usually wears a thick goat fur tunic and similar boots and bracers with a brown shirt beneath and heavy black pants. He has a couple of scars on his arms from hunting as well as an area of reddened flesh on his left hand from a fire blast, he usually keeps this covered with the gloves of his bracers. Though he doesn't always wear it he does have a sallet style helm complete with forward curving horns, he pretty much only puts it on for combat.
HISTORY: Born and raised on Outcast island Ren was taught to fight and fend for himself from a young age, his childhood was spent running around the heavy fortifications seeing how everything worked and how to be ready for war or the inhospitable wilderness watching dragons hunt. He also heard many stories from his grandfather about the time when the Outcasts were forced from Berk to their hostile and barren island in what he was taught to believe was an act that was far too brutal for Berkians to ever claim to be the injured party in these acts. While he accepted the peace between the tribes and wasn't out to cause trouble he began to see the people of Berk as soft and undeserving of their prosperity for their past crimes in condemning so many Outcasts to die out here, not even facing them in a fight like real vikings. Still he is very proud of what they've accomplished and can be a little snide about it.
Like all Outcasts Ren went through a test of manhood where he was expected to go out and prove himself in some way before returning. At first the open endedness of this test meant he wasn't sure what to do and he spent a week on the furthest side of the island trying to think of something to bring back to prove himself. He could take down a boar easily and did so to feed himself but it didn't feel good enough to bring back and he wasn't stupid enough to take on a dragon so beating a viking seemed like the best middle ground. Berserkers had a habit of landing off the far shore to poach wild dragons or armed war dragons from the Outcasts and while they weren't too much of a challenge for Outcast guard they were on the far side of the island and unaware. Ren on the other hand was camped on an overlook capable of seeing the ship landing and the Berserker hunters setting up ready to net the closest dragons. When he caught a descent sight of them attempting to haul a Hobblegrunt to their ship after snatching it from a roost he rushed them developing a following of other dragons as he went either pushed on by the sudden charge or waiting for the someone to make a move and draw the Berserkers attention. Soon enough the Berserkers and their ship were being bombed by Scuttleclaws and Nadders while Ren tackled down the raids leader. By the time it was over the Berserkers were limping off to sea and the dragons were released back into the wild.
After going through his rite of manhood and bringing back a Berserker helmet Ren was chosen to be trained thoroughly in combat and dragon care as one of the islands best recruits. Between these classes and helping his father hunt Ren was raised strong but found this repetition boring, just day in and day out learning to fight and hunt. When the tribes chief suggested he help cement the connection between the Outcasts and Berk as well as keep a subtle eye on them he was interested. It'd give him a much more interesting life and a chance to find his dragon, something he had yet to do on Outcast island where the dragons were trained for combat and raised in a more concentrated manner. While the Outcasts were at peace with Berk the chief felt that showing their potential would help prevent anyone from underestimating them as well as prove them valuable as allies, something Berk would ask for if they ever needed their help, so Ren's first real job as an Outcast mercenary is to provide assistance to Berk's dragon riders and warriors as well as take note of their intentions in case they ever returned to considering the Outcasts as lesser vikings.
Dragon training among the Outcasts usually involves practising technique and combat on the backs of trained Snafflefangs or Thornridges though once you've completed this training you're expected to either choose an untrained dragon from the pens or find your own. Ren didn't have any trouble leading one of the training Thornridges through the tests and proving himself and although this means he's ready to be a dragon rider he still needs to find his own dragon, something he thinks will be easier once he's left on his first mission. Ren feels that if he is to find a dragon he needs to find it in the wild and train it himself after attempting to connect to a caged Dervish when he was seven, an act that explains the marks on his hand where he narrowly avoided having it burnt off completely.
FAMILY: Ren's father is a capable hunter and leather worker often tackling wild goats or seals when they can find them. When necessary he has helped handle rogue dragons in the past and has produced a few dragon hide armours. His mother is a warrior and an impressive crossbow shot that works in the Outcast guard artillery. His younger brother is a dragon rider too though much more interested and skilled in scientific cataloguing and study of them, he was also the first in the family to obtain a dragon having gained a Whispering Death at the age of thirteen. His grandfather was around for some of the early conflicts between the Outcasts and Berk and he still has a few problems with them, not revenge based but he would've rather seen the Outcasts be allowed to fight to stay like vikings should.
WEAPON OF CHOICE: Heavy Warpick.
FIGHTING STYLE: Ren prefers to strike out of nowhere and use fast sweeping motions to snag his opponents weapons or limbs and pull them around letting him control a fight and dodge around attacks until he has the enemy on the floor and vulnerable to an executing blow.
DRAGON: Thunderclaw
NAME: Loudmouth
GENDER: Male
TYPE: Tracker
APPEARANCE: A large bull Thunderclaw Loudmouths natural bulk seems to be all muscle and stubborn brawn. His scales are mostly slate grey changing from a pale colour at his belly to a deeper darker colour on his back, along his upperside there are streaks of oranges and greens twisted together like the outside of a mango creating a colourful shift from his grey undertone. His crest has a tendency to glow lowly in time with his breathing getting brighter if he's agitated.
PERSONALITY: Stubborn and boisterous Loudmouth isn't opposed to throwing his weight around and making plenty of noise, if he doesn't have space to make himself comfortable then he makes some. Well aware of his strength and with an alpha attitude Loudmouth likes to assert himself and answers any challenges but also acts protective over any viking or dragon that is part of his herd or he simply feels like sticking up for.
STRENGTHS: Like any dragon with such a large mouth and set of lungs Loudmouth is capable of releasing a massive torrent of flame as well as roaring so loudly he could be named after it. Loudmouth can charge on foot or wing for surprising distance and with surprising speed and anything that gets in his path will be lucky not to be crushed on impact, especially since Loudmouth can focus powerful heat into his horn for impact.
WEAKNESSES: Loudmouth is naturally headstrong and doesn't back down from challenges or threats especially when they can be solved with brawn, anything that forces him to back down is at risk of developing a serious grudge with the dragon. Loudmouth sleeps like a rock, a big lazy one.
