Mabil flew over the coast on Dara’s back, watching the water below rush past them. Dara tilted her body slightly, one of her wings gliding through the water. Mabil reached a hand out to touch the water, mimicking her dragon. Suddenly Mabil pulled Dara straight up, and the pair went spiraling up into the sky. Mabil smiled proudly, and let Dara glide calmly through the air. They had been working on their tricks for a while, and it was the first time they had gotten their spiral near perfect. It was a pretty simple trick, but Mabil was determined to perfect it. Their flying tricks weren’t a priority in her or Dara’s life, but they both enjoyed the time together.
The Viking in training allowed Dara to fly lower, until finally they landed on a nearby beach. Mabil hopped off of Dara, giving the nadder a short break. Dara wandered off towards the water, gazing at her own reflection. Mabil found a stick and began to plan out more tricks they could attempt to do. She began to draw out more complicated spins and dives, using the natural rock formations around the coast as obstacles. She crossed out her plans, smiling with new found determination. Mabil constantly felt the need to train and improve herself, so not only did the tricks serve as bonding time. They also served as a tool to help Dara and Mabil improve their teamwork and flying skills. Dara was still relatively young, so Mabil knew they needed the extra practice on their flying and teamwork. Dara hobbled over and nudged Mabil, who fell back with a small smile. “I know girl, ready to go again?” She asked her overly-excited dragon. Dara loved the flying, so Mabil did too.
