Western Dragon
Or the slang term: Dargy
Class:Stoker
Physical Description:
A western is a catch all! Any dragon with four legs, wings and wings on it’s back if not classified as any other breed is usually a western. They typically have long necks and tails and can vary in height, color, horn number/length and dorsal spikes. Western isn’t as much of a breed as it is a classification. They’re simply generic fire breathing dragons.
Typical Behaviour:
Varies for dragon to dragon. There is no set personality type or archetype for this breed. Although, hoarding tends to be a common behavior practiced by a lot of Westerns, but not all have a hoard.
Abilities:
All breathe fire and fly, nothing too special about them. They can be pretty tough though.
Shot Limit:
a western can breath fire continuously rather than fire it out in shots. These breath attacks are generally done in short bursts, with breaks in between, but they have the capability to continuously breath for up to a minute, though this exhausts them and it takes a while for them to be able to breath fire again.
Drawbacks:
They aren’t extraordinary in anything, more like average all across all fields.
Blind spot:
usually right under its body or under the nose and if it’s horns are too big, sometimes behind the horns.
Training Methods:
Westerns aren’t hard to train at all. Any method that works on most other dragons, will work on a western. Just try to get a docile one.
Habitat:
They are very common, not hard to find one at all and they live just about anywhere in berk. Caves, mountains, forests, just not in the ocean.
Diet:
-fish, some meat.
Created by:
Winter. Revived by Souleater.
Note from Pime2: To clarify if anyone is confused about the existence of this particular dragon, the original creator made this as a 'generic breed' of dragon which fits the basic concept of the four-legged winged dragons which breath fire. It was basically made so that people who wanted to make a dragon based on dragon artwork that didn't fit one of the existing dragons, and didn't want to create a brand new custom dragon for it, could use this one. This breed is a 'default' and if you want to have a generic like dragon which has also got specific inherent strengths or weaknesses (better than average flight, unique abilities, etc) either look at other dragons already in the book or consider making a custom dragon to fit your idea. This is for people who enjoy playing in vanilla (which there is nothing wrong with )
