Saxi and Sub-Zero glided over the forest, Saxi laid over the dragon's back, resting. the straps that usually held him in the saddle during Sub-Zero's daring areal maneuvers laid slack and weren't bucked to the saddle at all. Today would be leisurely, so no need for the straps right? Sub-Zero gave a loud screech as they came up on a bunch of clouds, blocking the dragon's view and soon there was a tree right up in Sub-zero's face. The dragon cut upwards in a sharp dash of speed that the dragon rider was completely unprepared for.
Saxi slid off the dragons back from a deadly height, yelling for his dragon on the way down who hadn't noticed his absence until he was almost on the ground. Saxi cringed, waiting for impact, when suddenly the straps had caught hold of something, it yanked his back pretty hard, earning a painful pop, but he was alive none the less. Saxi opened an eye to see the ground mere centimeters from his face. He looked up to see that his dragon had held onto the tree and managed to catch his saddle straps with his hind foot mere fractions of a second before he was going to splat on the ground.
" Alittle warning before we change directions shall we?" Saxi asked as the dragon suddenly droped him, face first. The dragon rider groaned, standing, stretching out his now sore back. "Owww. I'm getting too old for this."
