The Little Princess (Fellicya)

(OOC: I named it that because Fellicya reminds me of The Little Prince, and Tascha's gonna think of her like royalty once she hears about all the places she's been and dragons she's seen)

Date / Time: Mid-morning, January 30
Weather: Light clouds and chilly; snowing, but protected inside the Forest


Tascha rubbed her temples and grit her teeth as she walked down the forest path. This place had always been her sanctuary, her escape, and her thinking-place, but the problems she'd brought to the forest today seemed to overwhelm even the creaking trees and bent bushes. She had absolutely no idea what to think of any of it. The potential consequences of a worst-case scenario involved death. She was playing for high stakes, but she had no say in the game - or even if she played it. 
What if... she thought, what if he really isn't just a nice old man? What would that mean for us? What would he be willing to do?
Is there any way I can prevent this?
She clenched her fists. No. There MUST be a way to prevent this, and I will find it.
Tascha removed her staff from her back and sat on a fallen log to think, shifting the decorated wooden weapon from one hand to the other. She had no proof either way of the man's true nature, but she had enough reason to be suspicious that she wasn't going to take any more chances.
She exhaled and then breathed in the spiced forest air, reminding herself that she'd come to enjoy the wildlife, refresh herself, and forget her worries, not to agonize over them.

They had been out for their usual morning stroll when Fellicya and SwiftBite had, once more, distanced themselves from their Typhoomerang guardian. The huge dragon wasn't that much bothered nor annoyed by their antics. It was nothing but the normal shenanigans that took place during their routine.

She just made sure to keep close enough that in case of danger she would be able to rush into action, to protect them. She had failed once and would not fail twice.

As per usual, as soon as she was left alone with her dark thoughts, BlazingHeart's mind slowly drifted to the worst part of her memory. As she followed her youngling's trail a large, gloomy aura floated around her frame.

She had just set foot past a bush when something came crashing into her side. She immediatly snapped her head to the side, a snarl slowly forming on her face, but when all she could see was a small human girl like her own she immediatly relaxed.

What was this thing doing here? She hoped she hadn't harmed it. The dragon started a low soothing rumble deep in her chest in case the human would have been impressed by her size. She slowly lowered her head until she could rub her snout against the human's sides and face. It was young, she had no reason to be mean to it.

In some way, Tascha was thankful for her meeting with the dragon. It wasn't exactly how she'd imagined cheering up, but it certainly worked. Usually, when she went to the woods, the shy creatures for which she was looking ran away from her, not into her. This one, however, seemed to be a different story altogether.

Tascha had just stood up from her sitting place on the log, walking stick in hand, and started down the trail again, when she smacked into a large, leathery wall. She leapt back, raising her staff in a clearly defensive position, and sized up the wall with which she'd collided. When she realized what exactly she was staring at, her jaw dropped.

"A Typhoomerang…?!" Tascha muttered, dropping her staff and raising her arms to show that she wasn't a threat. Except for a single run-in with a wild Timberjack, she'd never seen such a large dragon - and especially not so up-close. By some miracle, the scarlet dragon didn't show any signs of hostility. On the contrary, Tascha stood dumbfounded as the enormous dragon gave a low purr and lowered her head to her level. Thrilled and terrified at once, Tascha slowly outstretched her hand towards the Typhoomerang, who promptly rubbed her enormous snout against Tascha.

A small needle of logic poked through Tascha's bliss. No wild Typhoomerang would be so friendly immediately - in fact, few tame Typhoomerangs would, either. This dragon had to have a viking partner somewhere, which meant she was most likely either lost or escaped.

Tascha drew back and looked the Typhoomerang in the eye. "C'mon, girl," she said softly. "Let's go find your viking."

Of course BlazingHeart had suspected for the human to be surprised and afraid, but surprisingly enough it had recovered from it's shock quickly. Wich made her question her intimidating skills. It's voice snapped her out of her 'deep thoughts' and she turned her gaze back to it.


"C'mon, girl,"

What.


"Let's go find your viking."

No?

The Typhoomerang frowned as she pulled back, straightening until she stood at her full lenght. There she huffed loudly, puffing her chest out in pride. Why did the tiny thing thought she needed help doing whatever? She was a powerful and gigantic dragon, she would have never required the help of any weak humans to do whatever. She was a very capable creature, her time spent in this world came with a remarquable wiseness and intelligence without letting the age weaken her. She was powerful, smart and competent.

Why would she need help?

Every step she took made the earth tremble, the cheer power of her roar would shake anyone as it resonate through them and the single concept of her rage made many dragons quiver before her.

She was huge and she could find her own rider herself, thank you very much.

The roar that followed the 'end' of BlazingHeart's internal tantrum was nothing but loud with a frustrated edge to it. And Fellicya, who had been wrestling with her Scuttleclaw a couple of trees away, instantly recognized it. "Blaze?" She immediatly stood up and jumped on SwiftBite's back, making him dash toward the source of the noise.

When she saw her dragon's back but also the girl in front of it she almost fell from SwiftBite."BlazingHeart! Hey!" Her shouts got the Typhoomerang's attention who puffed warm clouds of air with each of her breath. Fellicya rushed to the girl's side, now more worried about her freaking out than BlazingHeart's obvious irritation. "It's okay, she's nice, she won't hurt you." Without taking her eyes of the other girl, the Red head reached for her dragon's head so that she could craddle it in her arms. "Calm down big butt." Caressing the side of her maw to sooth her wounded pride.

"I don't know why she's acting like such a baby, she's far calmed usualy. Sorry for her." She watched as SwiftBite approached the gurl hastily, sniffing her from head to toe before he pushed his snout forcefully against her. He rubbed his head up and down her side, snuggling closer, his louds and happy squawks settling down into content purrs.

The small wing dragon's antic made his rider chuckle lightly. "Glad I don't have to tell you he's not dangerous either. Dare I even go as far as to say he's friendly?" Like on cue SwifBite gave the girl a large lick on the side of her face earning more chuckles from Fellicya. "Yeah, I dare."

The Typhoomerang was clearly NOT lost or escaped, but by the time Tascha realized that, it was a moot point.

She slowly recoiled from the dragon's rumbling roar, which had clearly been directed at her. The massive dragon's hot breath puffed her stray hair out of her face with its force, and Tascha squinted, trying not to wince.

She'd said something, and then the Typhoomerang's mood had taken a turn for the worse. Tascha furrowed her brow, trying to piece together what could've upset the dragon, but before she'd decided what to do next, a shout interrupted her.

"BlazingHeart! Hey!" A girl with brilliant red hair charged through the forest astride a young Scuttleclaw. At the sound of her voice, the Typhoomerang's rumble stopped and she turned towards the Dragon Rider. The girl half-dismounted, half-fell from the Scuttleclaw and rushed to soothe her miffed dragon, trying to reassure both her and Tascha.

Still trying to figure out just what in Thor's name was going on, Tascha bent to pick up her staff - and was promptly bowled over by the Scuttleclaw, who began to lick her face enthusiastically. Hopelessly confused and without a clue as to how to react, Tascha burst into laughter.

By the time she refocused, the girl was smiling at the Scuttleclaw and saying, "Yeah, I dare." Quite happy now that the Typhoomerang had calmed and she herself was the subject of a Scuttleclaw's love and attention, Tascha opted to stay put on the ground. She crossed her legs, rested her staff across her lap, smiled at the friendly - and rather short - redhead, and asked, "Sorry, did you introduce yourself? My name is Tascha. Nice to meet you!"

Briefly, the thought crossed her mind that she was getting just the distraction she needed from her previous stress.
