Time and Date: Late afternoon (A week after Snoggletog celebrations)
Weather: Snowing lightly with a slight breeze
Previous Threads: None
Berk stood tall and proud in the snow, like a frozen kingdom, not effected by the cold weather, and below it's highest peaks, a lone scauldron sat silently, bobbing its head as it swam at the water's surface.
She hid just beneath a sea stack, and she'd been there all day, as if waiting for something to happen. Crystal was never one to interact with humans much before, but now that she'd made a friend of a young girl, she often watched from afar. If a dragon and human could be friends, she'd be willing to be around other vikings, right?
And thus the reason for the scauldron hadn't moved from her spot. The scauldron wanted to join the other dragons as they flew overhead with their new hatchlings. More importantly though, she wanted to be where Spit was.
By the time she made up her mind, the sun had already started to set, casting an orange and purple glow across the sky. She stretched her wings and pushed herself out of the water and into the air. Her kind might not be built for constant flight, but she did manage to reach the forest just outside the village.
Her body, having been filled with water for defense, made her landing difficult, and she probably ended up making enough noise to attract any nearby creatures. Crystal hefted herself up onto her tiny appendages, traveling no faster than a hotburple would.
After finding an effective hiding spot behind a throng of short trees, Crystal craned her neck above them to have a view of Berk. The village was as she expected it to be, with a few vikings here and there, and dragons of all species wherever she looked; nadders, gronkles, terrible terrors, and so on. Following closely behind all these dragons, were miniature copies of them, squeaking and tumbling about on pudgy legs and stubby wings, trying to eat the falling snow.
The scauldron made an effort to get closer. With sunlight slowly fading, her already dark blue scales were somewhat hidden in the shadows. She used this to her advantage when she swung her head around the corner of a building. From here she could hear the humans' voices, along with a few dragons' as well.
What she didn't realize, was that her hiding spot wasn't at all the best she could've chosen. It was only a matter of time before someone spotted her.
[Paws, next time we're in the cbox together, we can plot if you want to be part of this]
